Happy New Year everyone! 2013 was quite an eventful year. My eldest son started kindergarten at an amazing school, we moved to a bigger space, my husband turned 40, and I gave birth to baby #3! Photography wise, I transitioned to film, shot my first destination wedding in Turks and Caicos, finally finished my new website, had a wedding picked up by Martha Stewart Weddings (which will be in print this spring) and met some inspiring couples along the way. Now I’m unofficially on maternity leave and I thought it would be nice to get back into writing during this downtime.
So here’s Amanda and Pierre! Amanda is a writer/curator and Pierre is a French diplomat. They are ultra classy and sophisticated…very reminiscent of John F. Kennedy, Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. I just love their style.
Amanda and Pierre had their first date in Berlin but the next day he was due to move to Frankfurt for six months. After the date, Amanda wrote to her dear friend back in the U.S. about the “dashing frenchman,” whom she would probably never see again. The following weekend, Pierre returned to visit and they have been inseparable ever since!
Their wedding day was on a perfect summer day and easy going as they were. No stress and all smiles. It was an absolute honor to document their big day! A big thank you to Amanda, Pierre and their families for being so gracious and making me feel like family!
